i'm trying to make a filter to block the majority of imdb ads. however this filter isn't working, i need some more help.

i hope you see what i'm trying to do here
the ads are things such as
48.jpg
88.gif
09.swf |

In RegExs the wildcard character is a period. The asterisk means "one or more of the preceding character".
This should work:
