I tried adblock then I uninstalled it because something got screwed up in the process of my browsing on Monster.com. I now cannot add extensions to firefox because I cannot open my extension window now. I need some help here guys. Please e-mail me at rhm722 (at) gmail dot com if you can figure a way out of this.

Thanks,

Bob

My recommendation is to do a really fresh install of Firefox.

BTW -- posting your email address in a public place on the web will make it available to address harvesters. You are very likely to get spam because of this. Also, you are unlikely to get strangers to email you, since they have no idea whether you're just trying to collect addresses yourself.

Try creating a new profile:

Don't forget to export/import your bookmarks from your current profile. You can do this in the Bookmarks Manager.

Another case of uninstalling adblock using the deinstall command in Adblocks menu?

In future uninstall from the extensions manager instead.

It's absolutely astounding that this other seemingly quick and easy to eliminate defect continues to remain available for users to continue to damage their Fx installs.

The "...... perhaps they are busy doing more important things..." shtick is, at the very least, an embarrassment.

Wonk, please, how about just eliminating this long-known, long standing destructive setting from the Options menu already, before you also further contribute to damaging more users? They would thank you, no doubt, as would those caring folks that work to help clean up here, in other forums, and elsewhere. Cheers!
