I just visited this forum looking for a good filter list and noticed that many people use .css files to block google ads. I'm using the very latest filterset from G and I have never, ever seen an ad on google.

What do you guys mean with this?

The "sponsored links" you get when searching for certain things on Google, for instance.

Try searching for "registry cleaner" for an example.
