Exporting your rules list after making updates can save you time should this happen to you again in the future. After you have successfully exported your list, you can simply import them later.

Adblock does not remove code from HTML pages, for that you need to use text pad or similar editing software and remove the code yourself.

Yes, it is. Go to Tools > Adblock > Preferences. Then open the Adblock Options menu and disable the Obj-Tabs.
