Hello everyone,
I discovered today that anyone who tries to load a link off Digital Home Canada while Adblock is running get redirected to another page telling them to disable Adblock or whitelist them using "Adblock Plus".
The "good" news is that disabling Javascript is sufficient to circumvent this for the time being.
What technical means could be taken to make sure that this does not turn into a "virus/anti-virus" everlasting technological arms race?
However, I do NOT want this thread to turn into the infinitely-looping, ethical, philosophical and moral debate the EnvironmentalChemistry thread has.
Thanks in advance,
Darkshado

and that site did not block me, i did even block some ads there.
JavaScript was ON.

I'm using adblock 0.5.3.042 in Firefox 1.5.0.1 (nightly build) with the latest filterset.g list (which is blocking every ad on that site as far as I can see). I went to the site and clicked around on a few articles. Worked fine for me. |
