Hi All,
I am curious about how ads/images/links/directories (or whatever the relevant element) are identified as ads and blocked. One of the features of my online art gallery (www.anioman.com) is that members can link to their AniOman profile from their MySpace Profile, or other personal webpage. The image that goes with that link is the AniOman logo. As it turns out, the adblocker blocks this logo (and apparently all images from the directory where that logo is located). In other words, the adblocker is blocking images that AniOman users want in their profiles.
I do not advertise. My logo is simply an image that individuals choose to put in their pages, and links to their AniOman profile. It is not even an advertisement; it is the face for a link to that individuals art.
My question, therefore, is why did this happen? Was my website specifically and manually identified as a host for ads? Or was it done automatically? In addition, is there a way to get this reversed (not on the client side, but in the adblocker list of ads), and who can I contact about this?
Thanks for any explanations or assistance.
