At work (using Windows 2003) my filters seem to be erased every night. I've had to tell Adblock to block the same banners [on the same web sites] over and over. I must have told it to block one particular banner over 100 times. What gives?
I never have this problem on my macintosh (OS 10.3) at home. |

How about your other Firefox settings (like your start page) - do they persist? _________________ Adblock Plus developer

Yes, my start up page persists. So do my cookie settings and bookmarks. The problem only seems to ad banners which I add manually. |

Another thought - are you using Filterset.G Updater? _________________ Adblock Plus developer

While this is an older post, I thought I'd bring up that I'm having the exact same problem on FF 2.0 w/ the most recent version of Adblock.
I was using the Filterset.G updater for a bit, thought it might have been the problem and uninstalled it, but no good -- I'm still having to reblock things.
Fully blocked sites (http://www.whatever.com/*) seem to be handled. Individual images are problematic. Individual images that I blocked before updating FF and Adblock (which I did simultaneously) seem to remain blocked (thankfully).
Hard to say whose bug this is, but maybe my info will help :) |

You can hardly block individual ads anywhere - the addresses always change. Means that you will always have to replace the dynamic parts of the address by wildcards (*). _________________ Adblock Plus developer

I use it to block those annoying animated avatars that everyone seems to love -- *those* rarely change locations. |
