I use SUSE Linux 10.1 on IBM TP R52.
Tired by firefox trying to migrate to mozilla suite.
After installing adblock as root my seamonkey screen looks like this:

I can resize seamonkey window by mouse and then I pull it down the screen looks better. But after maximize window I see bothering BIG gray status bar in the bottom again.
lslarry@zarniwoop:~> rpm -qa | grep seamon
seamonkey-spellchecker-1.0.4-0.1
seamonkey-calendar-1.0.4-0.1
seamonkey-venkman-1.0.4-0.1
seamonkey-1.0.4-0.1
seamonkey-mail-1.0.4-0.1
seamonkey-dom-inspector-1.0.4-0.1
lslarry@zarniwoop:~> uname -a
Linux zarniwoop 2.6.16.21-0.13-default #1 Mon Jul 17 17:22:44 UTC 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
adblock version is 5d3nightly42
Any comments/suggesionts?
Thanks in advance. |

Hi!
I have seen the same on my Windows PC - currently using SeaMonkey v1.0.5. The status bar appears as in your picture but also for me the menu bar disappears too. It seems a bit inconsistent in that I had AdBlock working on this PC for a while but when I went into the AdBlock Preferences to do something today it informed me that AdBlock was disabled (even though the tickbox said it was not and the right-click to block images functionality was active). It said it would enable AdBlock on restarting the browser but on doing this it all ended up freaky as above. The fix was to make a fresh SeaMonkey user profile.
I'm not sure what exactly triggers it but I've seen the same happen in the past on an earlier version of SeaMonkey too. That PC was Win2000. This one is Server2003.
Best wishes,
Andrew |
