I frequent FoxNews.com. They typically run photos of scantily clad women to get people to click over to another site of theirs. I try to block those. An example of a url would be:
Quote:
http://www.foxnews.com/foxfan/images/rightpromo/iMag_UR_Music2_OtR_06_Jun29-2006-18:30.jpg

I will put a wildcard in like:
Quote:
http://www.foxnews.com/foxfan/images/rightpromo/*.jpg
because I suspect that they dynamically name the file name. I have also tried:
Quote:
http://www.foxnews.com/foxfan/images/rightpromo/*

and
Quote:
http://www.foxnews.com/foxfan/images/*.jpg

It always blocks the image when I first set this up but within a few hours or days another gets through.

Does anybody know why?

Perhaps you should take this as a sign of Fox's ethics and find a beter source of information? Or for Iraq-releated news, Just skip the middleman entirely
and get it straight from the people living it:

Instructions for Adding Your Own Filters:

1. Clear all filters from Adblock (Adblock Options > Remove all filters..)
2. Add your personal filters (do not enter anything from Filterset.G)
3. Export the list
4. Import Filterset.G and *overwrite* the list (OK)
5. Import your supplement and *do not overwrite* (Cancel)

Follow steps 4 and 5 whenever you update Filterset.G
Be sure to check the changelog to see if your filters have become redundant

Thanks Freeware user.

Wow, Adblock should really be a little more Filterset.G friendly at this point.
