|

Win2K op. sys.
Adblock seems non-functional:
Go to given web page, click on "adblock" at bottom to see block-able items, nothing show up for any web page.
right clikc and click adblock image, nothing happens.
Manuall y add a block, nothing gets blocked.
If the problem is that adblock isn't >1.5 compatable, please disregard my post.
Thanks. |

You could try uninstalling the old version before installing the fixed version the other guest linked. But from the fixed list my guess is that the one your experiencing is this one:
Workarounds for issues like Adblockable-Items list being empty caused by XPCNativeWrappers, see site. |

It works now, after 3 shut downs (of just deerpark/firefox) and restarts, all of a sudden it started working.
it was like it wasn't quite finnished installing.
I am not sure why there was a delay.
It showed fully installed in extensions each time with ability to pull up pref. etc....
But until after 3 times of restartying, it didn't work at all...
go figure....
Could be something to do with Win2K, but who knows..... |

Yes, very clean, i.e., uninstalled allprior firefox, including clean wipe of hard drive as well as system registry scrub down with any ref. to mozillay/firefox pulled.
It might as well have been a new PC.
I have been on line the past couple of hours and am still noticing a few occasional glitches durring download.
Adblock occasionally seems to be doing what RIP typically does.
(I don't have RIP or any other ext. installed).
But like RIP, I will see the adds load and then go away. This never use to happen. Typically, I would never see them get through durring psge loading at all.
So I am not sure what's going on there.
Don't get me wrong, Adblock is working, but not the way it use to. |

"clean wipe" could have meant just the "program files" directory, but it could also mean the profiles directory _________________ • Latest Adblock!

I twas a clean wipe of every trace in every directory.
any ref. to mozilla, profiles, etc.... including about 20+ registry entries and dll links in system32.
i.e. complete new install |
