But not really. It did, however, completly DESTROY my browser:
Note the lack of a file menu. Also note the horribly large bottom... thing...
Okay, back up.
I run gentoo linux. I tried to install adblock. No such luck! Permission denied on the chrome install!

Huh. Well this sucks. Okay, time to install it as root, single user... works fine! Cool!
Deinstall... install as root globally... works! Time to try the normal user
What the bloody crap... happened to my file menu, to the bottom of the browser, and where's adblock... yup, still working fine as root, same install... huh.
In sum: adblock install is horribly broken in the suite/seamonkey on linux. Firefox? Works fine. The suite? Anything but.
I can provide any needed additional info... just tell me what to do. |
