Try http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

Using FF1.5 and latest AdBlock and AdBlock options Obj-Tabs set, no java output is shown. Is that "works as designed"?

It's a known bug with oj-tabs, it often F~s up flash, java, and any other embedded object.

The adblock plus available from the sticky thread in this forum is greatly improved over the "newest" official version of adblock (which hasn't been updated in ages).
