|
|
I have firefox 1.0.7 in Hebrew
I tried to block an ad in http://www.ynet.co.il/home. I made a mistake, I din't know what, wich made adblock to block all GIF's in that portal page - thing I didn't want cause it makes alot of problems in navigating that portal. I tried to change it & wjen I didn't find solution I ckicked on "deinstall". After this took place I can't open my extensions window, I restrted the computer, even unistalled FF and reinstall but the problem remains.
What should I do???? (I'm a fun of FF not a software man) |

Adblock's deinstall menu item should only be used if you are running the Mozilla suite since that browser doesn't provide the ability. Unfortunately under Firefox 1.0.x it kills the ability to open the extension manager, which it sounds like it's done for you.
Close down Firefox and check this guide on how to make sure it is not running in the background.
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Kill_application
Then start Firefox in safe mode and head to "Tools->Extensions" and uninstall Adblock from there.

If that doesn't work then I'm afraid you're going to have to create a new profile.

Afterwards if you could resurrect your existing profile I suggest removing all you filters:
"Tools_>Adblock->Preferences->Adblock Options->Remove All Filters".
Finally I suggest installing this extension:
