Many moons ago I got something similar. It turned out to be that the version which was available on Texturizer.Net was very old (0.4, I think). The version there was subsequently updated before the site went down. Which version are you running now?

This bug sucks so hard. *arghh* Brick wall

It is still present in (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040115 Firebird/0.8.0+).
If I hit Crtl+Shift+A I get an empty list. No JS-Console errors AFAICS.. Does this hint help in any ways?

I would really much appreciate if this gets fixed anytime soon. Pray

I waited to see if anyone else would confirm this.
.
The fact that the issue disappeared (briefly) for a few nightlies indicates it's a browser-issue. There's probably a workaround, but lacking direct access to an affected system, it might take a while.
.
And yea- the url of your startup-page would help.

my startpage is http://www.heise.de/

but i have to say that it is not always reproducible. sometimes everything works fine
and sometimes not (maybe when the banner changes or something..).

I think that would make it quite difficult to track... Have you tried going back to the 0.7 milestone, instead of the new nightlies, or perhaps using a new profile? Dunno if that'll help, but might be worth a try.

Also, can you post the image source URL the next time you see an ad that shows up, but which you wanted Adblock to block?

it's the banner on top. url: http://www.heise.de/RealMedia/ads/<a-lot-more-stuff-here>.

my filter is /realmedia/ + plus some generic filters that match on /ads/.

but i think the filters aren't the problem, since the bug only occurs on browser start up. e.g. when i hit reload or visit the site later, it always works like expected.

the strange thing is, when the error occurs, the list of blockable elements (crtl+shift+a) is always empty. seems like adblock isn't always inited probably (which may depend on the browser version..).

Try the latest test-build, linked here.
.
Since "List Adblock-able.." doesn't show any elements, the issue is component-load timing.
.
Whether or not it was Adblock's fault, the latest build eliminates the only delay Adblock was responsible for.

In spite of the status, are elements being blocked?
