Hi,

I'm new here so I don't know if this has been suggested already or not (can't see it anywhere) On Windows there is a product called Outpost Firewall (www.agnitum.com) this is an excellent firewall for two reasons. 1. It is better at blocking stuff than ZA and 2. It has an excellent adblock system built in. This works on image size and the theory that most ads are of specific sizes (they pretty much have to be for the websites). This blocking system works well as it stops the call for these images being made, saving on bandwidth but it also keeps the link active in case you want to use it. Maybe this is something that could be incorporated? They have already worked out the image sizes Smile

regards

Neil

You might want to check out the Bannerblind project -- that's exactly what they do.

However.

Adblock is magnitudes more effective than size-blocking. Read through both our main-page and the Dev. page to get a feel for what we can do. You can even install both Adblock and Bannerblind together, if you like.

FWIW, I disabled BannerBlind when Adblock hit its stride at v0.5. Too many false positives with BannerBlind, and Adblock catches almost everything I don't want to see.
