First of all, thanks for your work : I've just installed Adblock 0.5, build 19 (with Firebird 0.7 on Linux) and it works better than ever !

Still, I think I miss some functionalities of the thing : for example, what is Quickblock ? I understood it's related to the underlined "Adblock" word in the status bar, and that you can hide just about everything by shift-double-clicking on an element in the page, but how do I use the dialog that pops up when I double-click on "Adblock" : it lists all blockable elements, but I cannot act on them, I can't hide them, etc.

This dialog lists, among other things, scripts : how can I block these scripts : no double-click on them, no context menu. I don't understand the use of this box...

Next question : what's the difference between partial and full quickblocking ?

Last : in the options dialog, what does the "show obj-tabs" checkbox mean ?

Anyway, this extension is just a huge relief. Thanks !

vincent:
Quickblock is only one feature. Here's the breakdown:
Quote:
Quickblock
Allows page-content to be instantly hidden -- just press shift and double-click. Hold down on the last click and swing around to catch multiple elements. Since Quickblock only activates on the second-click, the first is pretty much up for grabs. Firebird uses shift+click to 'Save Link As', and some ads trap for mouseclicks.
Quote:
"Partial" allows these behaviours as normal.
"Full" suppresses all shift+click events until the double-click -- then Quickblock activates.
"Off" is.. no quickblock :P
List Adblock-able
Shows all blockable elements in the page. When you select an element in the list, its source is shown in the entry-box and the corresponding element blinks in the page. From the source, you can create a filter -- to block this and future elements like it. For more information on filters, head to our main page.

Object-Tabs
The problem: plugin-media have their own context-menus, which unfortunately can't be altered.
The solution: a small, translucent tab is placed atop or below the rendered media, which can be easily clicked. It reads "Adblock". Try it out: check the pref and head to homestarRunner.com.
