(from Mozilla's bug #227584 which was wrongly attributed to Firebird)

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031203 Firebird/0.7+

When the Adblock extension is enable, Shift+Click to select several lines in a listbox or to select a range of text doesn't work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click somewhere in the middle of an HTML document
2.Shift+Click somewhere else in the document

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Everything between the first click and the shift+click should be selected

Same problems in forms. For instance, in Bugzilla's query page, I used to be able to select several status states by selecting one end of the range then shift+clicking on the other end.

Disabling Adblock and restarting Firebird fixes it.

Funny, shift+double-click hides what was cliked.

(By the way, this is with Adblock 0.5d2)

Ok, never mind, I just read about QuickBlock.
I clicked on all the shorcuts listed on the project page without really knowing what they actually did. Rolling Eyes

There should be an option for it in the preferences though, at least to make people aware of the functionality. Especially since QuickBlock partial is activated by default.

"Ctril+Shift+k" to change QuickBlock between "off", "partial" and "on". The state is indicated by the line under "Adblock" in the lower left part of the screen.

(See http://aasted.org/adblock/viewtopic.php?t=108#708 for more details)

Ah. Thanks, I hadn't made the connection. Too bad "partial" is the default, instead of "off." I think this deserves a pref. I never use QuickBlock, but sometimes shift-click selection is important to me.

nightly 28 pass-4 is posted.
.
Apologies- Quickblock wasn't supposed to trap mousedowns in "Partial". You can now shift+select in this mode.

Partial Quickblock doesn't seem to work at all in nightly 28 pass-4 (WinXP, FB 0.7). It worked fine in pass-3.

n28 pass-5 : posted.

Thanks for catching that - I'd only tested the negative-case (shift+select).
