hi
Can't live without adblock ! But since I upgraded to FF 0.9.3 / Ab 0.5d2b39 / Linux Debian testing the Adblock-able Items window is always empty and once opened could never be closed... any clues ? please. |

Here is a thread from August which deals with that very problem. Hopefully the suggestions there will help you too.
Ps. Have you tried installing the latest Firefox 1.0pr, the official builds from mozilla.org? _________________ Adblock 0.5.3.042

Sorry, no. I'm only familiar with the Windows builds.
Isn't it possible to use the installer on Debian?

Yes you can always get and build the source code by yourself but the debian packet for 1.0 for testing is not yet availaible ... Never mind I'll manage with what I have ... _________________ /[\W_](fast|value|online|php|page|popup)?[\W_]?ad(serv[a-z]*|v|vert[a-z]*|stream|log|view|content|img|image)?s?\d*[\W_]/ |

Hang on- the other thread went nowhere. If Adblock is installed and you can see the status-element, the first thing to check is the script-console. Open the problematic window, try to close it, then head here: Tools > JavaScript Console.
.
Post any relevant errors you see. |

[ Sorry- here's the reply I mentioned to kstahl but forgot to post: ]
.
The Debian builds you're running are known to be "hacky" -- in stability and the patching it took to get them running.
.
I suspect your content-policy system is broken. The error you're describing, in the absence of others, means Adblock's core is failing, which would only happen if something else was wrong.
.
Out of curiousity, does the built-in image blocker work -- sans Adblock-install? |
