I tried to enter this in bugzilla.mozdev.org, but there was no "app" in the picklist for Adblock, only Adblocklearner.
I'm using FF 0.10.1, but the problem has existed prior to that version. The adblock extension version is v.5 d2 * nightly 39.
I do not have any filters installed. I have simply enabled adblock and let it pick off what it thinks are ads in webpages. Regardless of whether a page contains an ad, adblock executes and fails on line 287 of the file chrome://adblock/content/adblock.js.
The Error message is:
Error: [Exception... "Node was not found" code: "8" nsresult: "0x80530008 (NS_ERROR_DOM_NOT_FOUND_ERR)" location: "chrome://adblock/content/adblock.js Line: 287"]
failing line of code is:
if (next) parent.insertBefore(parent.removeChild(this.statusElement), next);
Hopefully this isn't a redundant entry, I tried searching for it, but the entries had other messages I had gotten from adblock prior to upgrading Firefox to the 0.10.1 version.

By any chance, is your statusbar hidden at startup?
.
Try re-installing Adblock, first removing it via the Extension Manager. |

rue,
I reviewed this message whilst at work, where adblock doesn't seem to be issuing error messages in this install. I tried to get all the same extensions in both versions so I could try to have a second source for problems I see happening, but some of them appear to behave differently no matter what.
I'm assuming it might be the order in which they were installed, or the ones that they were installed with at the FF restart, or something of that nature.
In this case, I may have put the AdBlockLearner in before Adblock in one of the installs. I will do the re-install when I'm home again in approximately 8 hrs after the timestamp on this message.

Oops, forgot to answer the question.
No. The status bar has colorzilla, weather, foxytunes and the voizilla icon on it and comes up on startup.

crud.... I put this in the wrong bug entry (in a differnt forum).
Anyways, I booted up here at home and got the same errors. It appears
that I'm using 0.10 from 20041004 at home and 0.10.1 from 20041001 at
work.
I uninstalled the extension and restarted FF, there were no adblock errors, but instead adblocklearner spewed a few messages as I would figure it would. Reinstalled adblock again, restarted FF, and the "Node" error was there again. There were a couple from tabbrowser.xml and tabprefs as usual.
Sorry for the delay in the answer.
