Version .5 3d

Firefox 1.5

Yes... I did it! I admit it!

I managed to block "http://*" (thinking in my strange way that it would only block everything for the particular page I wanted to block completely).

And now, everytime Firefox fires up, Adblock (rightly) blocks my start-up page... and, every now and then, other pages.

I can't keep whitelisting things (and the whitelisting of my startup page doesn't seem to work anyway since when I restart Firefox, I get the same Adblock message).

1) I've tried to highlight the http://* on the 'Adblock-age Items' page and hitting the Delete button... but that doesn't do anything. I still have the same problem, even after reopening Firefox.

2) Tools-> Adblock-> Preferences still shows "http://*" after I did #1 but I can't highlight it at all.

Basically, I just want to unblock the rather important http://* prefix Smile

Um... how does one go about it?

Many thanks.

I've also encountered the problem of blocking items I later discovered shouldn't have been blocked. How do you unblock items? (The most obvious would be the DEL-key as described by Betty Woo).

Normally, selecting the line and hitting delete should work.

If this is a bug specifically caused by your filter (I cannot test as I run ABP), two ways spring to mind:

1 - Export your filter set, edit it with a text editor to remove the offending line, then re-import it.

2 - In the address bar type about:config. Filter on adblock. You should find the entry containing the filters (it may be called patterns). You can right-click and reset it, but you will lose all your filters.

Ah... #1 worked well. I'll have to file a stickie with that info since I'm sure at some point I'll re-idiot the program Smile

Thank you!
