I have adblock on FF, however, evidently I deleted everything in the tools > extensions. Is there another way to uninstall?
BTW, thanks for taking the time to do images. |

You're welcome.
Since you've gotten rid of all the extensions anyway, then you might as well do a really fresh install of Firefox. |

Yes, the uninstall "feature" in Adblock is very dangerous. I guess you had Adblock installed in your profile? Then creating a new profile should help. Open Profile Manager, click "Manage Profiles" and "Create Profile". That's also how you can delete the old profile once you are sure you don't need it. _________________ Adblock Plus developer

For Netscape open the prefs, pop the 'options' menu, and choose "DeInstall". |

I have installed and used Ad block and subsequently Ad Block Plus on three separate machines and for Firefox as well as Mozilla Suite with absolutely no problems and with excellent results - Thanks for a great utility BTW - however... I have recently installed AdBlock Plus on my partners laptop on which she's now using the latest version of SeaMonkey. The extension appears to be where it's supposed to be, in other words it appears in all the profile folders and the drop down menus include AdBlock. I can also gain access to the preferences window in the usual way but after checking the "enable AdBlock" box and clicking OK AdBlock isn't. Enabled, I mean.
Reopening the preferences window reveals an unchecked box, as if I'd never been there. I've treid De-installing but this feature doesn't work and I've tried removing AdBlock manually to no avail. A re-install of Seamonkey also fails to sort this out.
Not too long ago I came upon an FAQ or a knowledge base that seemed to have what I was looking for but like the complete moron that I am I didn't bookmark it, thinking I'd be able to find it again and now can't.
Can anyone help please? |
