Hi,

my son has asked me to block a site because he's kind of addicted (a silly forum) and spends too much time on it.
I know it's possible to block it with the adblock plugin, but I wonder how could I hide the blockage? He's not a silly boy and he'll find out immediately by looking into the tool bar --> adblock and set it back free
It's a kind of challenge. He will try not to find out how to free the site, but if sometime he comes to the idea of trying, he shouldn't find it within a few clicks.

Any hint?

If this is a windows computer you might be better off using the windows hosts file. Just set the address to the "silly forum" to point to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and the page will not be loadable. See http://www.accs-net.com/hosts/what_is_hosts.html for more info on the hosts file. You could set it in the adblock list as well to throw him off track. Always keep on your toes.

Cheers!
Jeff

or use PeerGuardian or use your router (assuming you have one) to block the IP address of the site

(in other words, what you want is outside the scope of this project)
