That is a really nice, detailed, step-by-step, screen-shot based, easy to follow Tutorial for novice users getting started with AdBlock.
Help2Go Guest OP, if you are the author, you might consider adding mention of the "Allow web sites to install software" setting.
Dealing with the distinction between merely Hiding and the greater security achieved with Blocking objects might also be helpful.
One other suggestion: Perhaps warn users who may wish to remove this great extension, that until further notice, to NOT use the "Deistall" option still listed under AdBlock Options under AdBlock Preferences, as it has been known for many months to hose numerous users profiles and/or installs. They should use the EM instead.
Great work! It will be highly recommended!
Perhaps an active Forum administrator would consider adding reference to the Tutorial in the stickied locked thread Helpful Threads - for new users" . _________________ Fx-1.0.6 AdBlockPlus (0.5.9.1), TBE (07-13:01), NoScript, RIP. |
