Adblock can only block embedded objects (images, flash, javascript, etc...) -- and therefore can't do what you want.
I'm not sure if the Plus version is able to do what you want. |

have you created your own filterset, or do you use one you found on the web (like filterset.g)?

it's already possible -- you just have to figure out what the URL of the image is first
